Shipping, Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Gees Bees Honey Company, our goal is to ensure the satisfaction of our customers.

Shipping Policy
​
All orders are processed within 1 to 2 business days (excluding weekends and holidays). After receiving your order confirmation email, you will receive another notification when your order has shipped.
​
Local delivery: We offer next day local delivery through a company called Trexity for orders within 45km of our store (538 River Rd, Ottawa). We charge $9.99+HST for local delivery. You will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number onn the day of delivery.

Domestic Flat Rate Shipping: For orders shipped within Canada, we offer $18 flat rate Canada Post shipping and $20 Expedited shipping, excluding the Territories and Newfoundland which has flat rate shipping of $40. We ship using Canada Post

In-store pickup: You can skip the shipping fees with free local pickup at our farm store (538 River Rd, Ottawa). After placing your order and selecting local pickup at checkout, your order will be prepared and ready for pick up within 1 business day. We will send you an email when your order is ready along with instructions.
Our in-store pickup hours are Monday to Sunday 9am to 5pm. Please have your order confirmation number with you when you come.

International Shipping
We do no currently offer international shipping.

How do I check the status of my order?
When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us which will include a Canada Post tracking number you can use to check its status. Please allow 48 hours for the tracking information to become available. If you haven’t received your order within 5 days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us at hello@geesbees.ca with your name and order number, and we will look into it for you.

Returns & Refunds

Honey
You can return or exchange unopened and sealed honey products within 14 days of the date you received the product. Unsealed/opened jars of honey cannot be returned. We are always happy to resolve any issues that have occurred during the process of your online order, delivery, or shipping. If there are any concerns with the integrity of your product, please contact us at hello@geesbees.ca and we will respond to you within 1 business day

Other products (Candles, lip balm, apparel, etc.)
For any unopened and undamaged product, simply return it with its included accessories and packaging along with the original receipt (or gift receipt) within 14 days of the date you receive the product, and we will exchange it or offer a refund based upon the original payment method.

For any damage or error that has occurred during shipping, please contact us at hello@geesbees.ca and we will respond to you within 1 business day. For damaged or missing products, we will either ship a replacement or offer a refund.

HiveShare Cancellation
You may cancel your Hive Share registration and receive a full refund up until the August 1st. If cancelling after August 1st and before the scheduled Bee Day in August (i.e. the honey pick-up day), you can receive a partial refund as follows: 50% refund if cancelled up to 2 weeks before the Bee Day and 25% refund if cancelled up to 1 week before the Bee Day. No refund will be given on Hive Shares that are cancelled less than one week prior to the Bee Day in August.

Course, Workshop, and Tour Cancellation
You may cancel your registration for a class, workshop, course, or tour up to one week in advance of the scheduled date and receive a full refund or transfer to another class of equal value . To cancel a registration, contact us at hello@geesbees.ca, and please include the following in your email: your full name, the email address you used to register, the name of the class, and the date and time of the class. No refund or exchanges will be given on classes, courses, workshops, or tours that are cancelled less than one week prior to the class. Gees Bees Honey Company reserves the right to cancel any class, workshop, course, or tour that fails to attract sufficient enrolment, for instructor illness, or inclement weather. We will contact you by email or telephone and issue a full refund or you may request to be transferred to another event of your choice of equal value (depending on availability). If you miss a class, workshop, course, or tour due to weather-related concerns or personal reasons, our standard cancellation policy applies.
