Elementary School Field Trip to Gees Bees Grades 5–8 | 2 Hours | Wednesdays | May to August | Ottawa Take your students on a hands-on educational adventure at Gees Bees! This 2-hour field trip, designed for Grades 5 to 8, aligns with the Ontario elementary school curriculum, offering an engaging and interactive experience that connects science, biodiversity, and sustainability with real-world learning. What to Expect: 🐝 Live Beehive Observation – Watch a real beehive in action from our screened observation area and learn how bees work together inside the colony. 🍯 Pollination & Honey Production – Discover how bees collect nectar, create honey, and play a vital role in food production. 🌎 Ecosystem & Sustainability Education – Learn about bees’ impact on the environment and what we can do to protect them. 🎨 Hands-On Activities – Participate in fun and engaging activities that reinforce science, environmental, and sustainability concepts. Cancellation policy: You may cancel your registration for See the Bees demonstration up to 24 hours in advance and receive a full refund or transfer to another date (subject to availability).  No refund or exchanges will be given on tours that are cancelled less than 24 hours prior to the See the Bees demonstration. Gees Bees Honey Company reserves the right to cancel See the Bees due to inclement weather, instructor illness, or insufficient enrolment. We will contact you by email/telephone and issue a full refund or you may request to be transferred to another See the Bees date (subject to availability).  WARNING: under Ontario law, an agritourism provider is not liable for the death or injury or illness of a participant in an agritourism activity conducted at this agritourism location if that injury or death or illness results from the inherent risks of that agritourism activity. Inherent risks of agritourism activities include, but are not limited to, the risk of injury inherent to land, equipment and animals as well as the potential for you as a participant to act in a negligent manner that may contribute to your injury or death.
